Bible Verses for Our House

As of last Friday, we have a completed roof! We also did something that’s been on my heart: going through each room/space & writing scripture on the studs. Our family is still battling a couple uncertainties (same dating back to March - sorry to be vague, but He knows) so no matter what the future holds, when everything else is stripped away - the beautiful finish, the comfortable accoutrements - and all that’s left are the bare bones, Christ is our ultimate foundation.

Entrances: You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. Deuteronomy 28:6

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path. Proverbs 3:6

Yoga Studio: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if working for the Lord, not for human masters. Colossians 3:23

Media Room: I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
[Will's favorite verse; his writing.]

Stairs: In his heart, a man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9

Master Closet: But above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Colossians 3:14

Kitchen/Dining Area: Give us this day our daily bread Matthew 6:11

They broke bread together and ate together with glad and sincere hearts. Acts 2:46

Fireplace: As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15

Family Room Entrances: For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:11

Love is patient. Love is kind. 1 Corinthians 13:4

Master Bedroom: Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2-3

Children’s Bedrooms: You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. Proverbs 3:24
[Annelise's scripture choice; her writing]

[I added it in the hall between their rooms, too.]

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3
[Will's scripture choice; his writing]

Bathroom: Give us clean hands and pure hearts. Psalm 24:4

Laundry Room: Cleanse me, and I will be clean. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. Psalm 51:7

And then more pics around the house...
[The white board will be brick, and the yellow siding will become
our main outside color: Cool Charcoal “a deep, gray, brown
sugar greige with a gingerbread undertone.”]
