April Action

It feels a bit strange to have this much action back in our lives to post, again, but here we are, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon…

April 1st: Wrestling Banquet success! So thankful for this group of new friends I am privileged to serve with on our high school Wrestling Parents Committee & even more excited for next season…
Annelise & silly cake coach! :-D

April 2-3: quick overnight to San Antonio with VIP access for JB’s work to the final round of the Valero Texas Open! Some guy asked me if I was Jordan Spieth’s sister? Walking the course for a few holes in the morning was lovely, and spending the rest of our time in the VIP hospitality suite was the best! (I don’t care a flip about golf, but I love an event with special treatment! :-D) Observe the face of teen ennui placating parents:
ME?????? QUIET?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
From our perch, overlooking the 18th green:

Mid-April:
#promposal #shesaidyes The 1st movie they watched together was “Grown Ups”. (Remember the ice cream wasted explanationhttps://youtu.be/B5aK7ycEMUY :-D) She likes vanilla over chocolate, so Will also brought her a pint from his work at Baskin Robbins:

Happy 20th wedding anniversary to us back on April 13th:
(I’m wearing the dress we got on our honeymoon!)

Easter Sunrise Service is my absolute favorite of the year! (Even on a cloudy day (but nice & warm!)) Such a sweet honor to serve with my vocal besties in an intimate setting where we can truly connect & glory in the dawn of fresh starts!

Annelise celebrated her 16th birthday quietly, with joyous treats & small friend gatherings over several days. Holy dramatic year, from ending online school, to finding her most unexpected blessing & passion in wrestling, to the drastic ankle tear that’s dominated every moment of her last 4 months. Keep praying for her total healing (she’s so often in a ridiculous amount of pain after PT) & for her to come back stronger than ever! I’m treasuring every moment I get to share with her driving (I’m her Driver’s Ed teacher: parent-taught Aceable) esp. while listening to BTS & K-pop and going to try every restaurant in our local Asian Town district!

Speaking of driving, I never posted this when Will got his actual license - too cute to forget:

Closing with a rare moment: Blaise is a 9 month old puppy - she almost NEVER stops like this! + Bailey likes to keep her in her place ;-) but here’s hoping it’s a glimpse into our future norm:

Next up: PROM!!!

  1. So fun to see all that's been going on there!! Had to laugh at Annelisa's "parent-placating" face :) only because we've had a number of those photos in our past! A belated happy birthday to her!
