Senior Salutes & Graduation

The flood of pics does more justice than my words…

Senior Recognition Sunday at church on 5/15

Our precious elementary school invited its graduating seniors back at the end of school on Tuesday, 5/17 for the entire staff & current students to clap them out! Our years there felt sooo long…but then we blinked & 7 more years evaporated!
I adore how he would never just walk by those kids & not engage, like some “normal” :-P teens - it’s another reason why I know he will be such a great coach one day!

Beyond thankful to be able to celebrate the end of Will’s Senior year with the kindest friends at our park & pool drop-in Saturday morning, 5/21! No words for how their presence blessed me…
Sweaty post-basketball Will tried to hug me - nooo!!! Ewww!!!
Will’s dessert request was cherry pie…so I made a full slab!

Our firstborn officially became a high school graduate on Tuesday, 5/24! So thrilled for Will…
970 graduates in his class!

I love how important his friendships are to him!
(JB & Annelise couldn’t wait around for pics afterwards,
but they were there for the whole ceremony.)

Future plans: saving $$$ while he figures out specifically what he wants to do (he would love to do something with coaching) by going to community college for a year or two (cheaper core requirements completed!) before then transferring to university for his bachelors.

  1. Congratulations to Will!!!! I know you and JB are so proud of him! Graduation is such a wonderful time of looking back over all that he's done and all the people that have mattered in his life while also looking forward to all that God has for his future. Blessings to you, sweet mama!!
