Basketball + Brace + Baskin

(2 posts in one day?! :-D Don't miss Blaise...)

It’s hard to believe… Will’s entire youth sports career ended last weekend with his final 2 senior basketball games, culminating in a league championship win 45-37 vs our biggest rival. Being a sports mom has been an ultimate favorite facet of parenting for me, and every single game Will has played since t-ball at 4 years old has been such a gift… #endofanera #sportsmom

Good progress news for Annelise: the foot specialist released her from her boot after 6 weeks, and now she is in a very strong but much smaller brace. She was excited to be able to wear two shoes, again, but the brace is just a little too bulky to fit inside most of the shoes she has, so we’re still struggling with footwear over here…

Great news for Will: he’s working at Baskin Robbins 4-5 nights a week from 6-close! (LMK if any locals want to tip a cute, dimpled senior, and I’ll give you his actual schedule. :-)) It’s kind of cool, because my first high school job was at our local ice cream parlor, too!

  1. Truly the end of an era!! My now college junior just recently posted on Instagram that she misses high school sports. She's played soccer and broom hockey on an intramural level in college, but it's not the same as that high school atmosphere! Congrats to Will on the job at Baskin Robbins! I'd be having to visit him there regularly ;)
