IT’S ANOTHER GIRL!!!
IT’S ANOTHER GIRL!!! ❤️ We’ve dreamed of giving Bailey a sister from Houston Beagle and Hound Rescue, Inc. for a few years now: meet Blaise!
She’s a “beagle mix” (we see long coonhound legs + maybe some dachshund, too?) and she meets our #1 requirement: snuggly!!! She’s only 8 months old - we haven’t done a puppy in literally 20 years - and she has LOTS of energy. JB is happiest that she gives kisses.
The pictures don’t really convey how tall & lanky she is. Bailey is like a linebacker – she is a solid ball of beagle muscle, the strongest, most muscular dog we’ve ever had! Blaise is light as a feather with proportionally such long legs – literally opposite bodies. Blaise is the first dog who has ever made me want to submit one of those dog DNA tests!
Their first three days together were nonstop adrenaline, and then on day four, I think Bailey realized that Blaise is not leaving & began asserting her dominance. It never got out of hand - it was really only when Bailey was vying for my love & attention on the couch or in the bed and then Blaise came over to try to join in the love: Bailey did this evil growl & vicious bark (it was so scary the first time!!! We had never heard her make a noise like that before, because she’s never had a reason to!) but apparently that’s completely normal. Otherwise, they’re fine together! Zoomie-o-rama!!!
Our first (of many!!!) daily walks - they walk so well together! I had never walked two dogs together before at the same time, and I’m actually surprised at how easy they are:
Joyous car rides:
And closing with the one time (in a time lapse!) I just wanted to see if they’d *possibly* settle during a PiYo warmup = no :-D
Congrats on the new doggie!!! Such a fun addition to the family, I'm sure. That time lapse video made me laugh :)
