RODEOHOUSTON: Rodeo & Concert 2015

We're back from our international adventure (recap coming soon!), but before we left, we were also lucky enough to get to take the kids last Sunday to a big Houston Rodeo event & concert day. [What a Spring Break, right?!] It all happens inside the big stadium where our NFL Texans play. The rodeo part always comes first, with all of the amazing events in very quick succession - not a dull minute!
This international, invitation-only rodeo has a purse totaling $1,690,000. Some of the world's best cowboys and cowgirls compete in five three-day series, giving RODEOHOUSTON fans an opportunity to track their favorite athletes all the way to the BP Super Series Championship. The action is never-ending, with bareback riding, barrel racing, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping and tie-down roping.

Then, it's concert time:
Over the 3 weeks that RODEOHOUSTON runs, there are big-name concerts each day - lots of country stars (Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, etc.) and a few pop. Our concert was Fall Out Boy, which the kids were THRILLED for, b/c "Light 'Em Up" ;-) is one of their MOST FAVE songs from football season! (They also like Centuries and the Big Hero 6 song. :-)) It was a great show, and the perfect Texan way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon!
