Best of Times, Worst of Times
Will & the 7B Bears kept rolling last week! Will stripped the ball & also recovered a fumble in the end zone!!! We won 26-0, improving to 4-1 overall under a gorgeous sunset:
But we suffered an absolutely heartbreaking loss in the last 50 seconds this Monday night. After leading 8-0 the whole first half & then stopping the other team's extra points to keep it 8-6, a dropped kick off return put us right back on D. We held & held deep in the red zone, 7 full times before the other team finally punched it in on 4th & 1 with less than a minute to go. Crushing. Watching our boys link arms during this whole goal line stand made my heart swell, though, and no one can deny how much they've grown this season! This same opponent annihilated us in our one preseason scrimmage, but not this time! Every single week, we got better.
Seeing that camaraderie was almost better than any win...

Oh, my, isn't that how it goes sometimes!! From the heights of victory to the depths of despair...sounds like it's been a great year, though!!
