Gingerbread Houses 2017
We did not forsake our annual gingerbread house tradition! But just as everything seemed to be for us this Christmas season, it was much lower key than in years past, and it was just us, instead of inviting friends over.
We did the six mini house molds, like I used last year, but instead of filling them with gingerbread cake (Trader Joe’s discontinued my ultimate favorite Deep, Dark Gingerbread Cake Mix, & instead came out with a lighter version this year: it’s just spice cake = sooo not special! Boooo!) Annelise & I pressed gingerbread cookie dough into all four walls of each mold & baked. They popped right out! (WHEW!)
