Last Cheer Game & Thankfuls
Last night was my precious cheer squad's last football game to cheer. I didn't take *any* action pics this season, b/c I was always coaching, but a few of the moms took a bunch last night for me (coming soon! yay, scrapbook! ;-)) and I have these few video clips from last week:
Roll It, Shake it
Hey, Hey, Football Fans
Dynamite (with a super silly double brother assist :-P)
I can't believe I ever questioned for a second if I should coach this summer! It was a bit exasperating at times, (there are always a couple who test you,) but I never once didn't want to be "Coach Susie". It filled the void of not teaching dance here, and it was a major blessing to be the one in control of the practice & game schedules (to coordinate with Will's so neither child would ever miss out.) I am so thankful for several of the squad moms, who have become sweet friends of mine here, now. I'm glad to have those connections. The icing on the cake last night? All the girls signed a card and all the parents put in for a STARBUCKS GIFT CARD for me!!! The *best present EVER*!!! They all keep saying on FB how much I've blessed them, and it's totally mutual. ♥ Love-fest-o-rama! :-D :-P
More sincere thanks: I'm so thankful for the fact that the Land's End catalogue came, and for the first time in 5 years, I DON'T HAVE TO LOOK AT SNOW CLOTHES!!! :-D
Yesterday the kids wrote on their Gratitude Tree leaves that Will was thankful for "land to live on!" [I have no idea where that came from, but I like it - very Gone with the Wind! :-D] Annelise wrote, "I love mom!" ♥ ♥ ♥
Today they both wrote that they were thankful "for so much food." Will added, "and for so much candy." [I'm glad they realize how much food we have access to...but I highly doubt their thankfulness will translate into eating anything I put in front of them without question. ;-)]

I had considered not coaching the boys soccer team this summer but I was so glad I did!
ReplyDeleteI've transitioned our clothes over to winter stuff :( I don't mind the season but the cold I can do without (and I could totally do without the heating bill!)
oh my goodness! Those cheers are adorable! I loved it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAren't they so precious, Sharon? I would LOVE to see Tatum cheer for her brothers one day!
ReplyDeleteApril, I am trying SO HARD not to turn on our heat, yet. The afternoons are lovely & warm, but mornings in the 40's & 50's are killing me. :-/
